Cafe Osage Now Open

If any new eatery combines the perfect ingredients for a foodie, it’s Café Osage. First, the café is located within the Bowood Farms complex, that cool urban nursery and garden center in the Central West End. Second, it features produce grown in the center’s own vegetable garden, herbs grown on its roof-tops, bison from the owners’ Clarksville, Mo., farm, and lots of other locally sourced meats, fruits and vegetables. Third, it brings together two great chefs formerly with two great restaurants: David Kirkland, previously of Frazer’s Brown Bag, and David Guempel, founder and owner of the erstwhile Zinnia. Fourth – and this is what takes the cake – Café Osage serves breakfast! With the addition of Café Osage, the Bowood Farms complex truly is an oasis in the middle of the city.
