Local Team Scoops Knowledge Bowl

There are no pot and pans, no cook-off, no hot burners. Only sheer culinary knowledge is needed to compete in the Baron H. Galand Knowledge Bowl. Since 1992, teams of chefs from around the country have competed in the Jeopardy-style contest sponsored by the American Culinary Federation. Much like a spelling bee, teams compete at one of four regional levels before advancing to the big national event at the federation’s annual convention. This years shindig was held on July 15 in Las Vegas, and for the second time in three years, The Chefs de Cuisine of St. Louis team took the gold. Congratulations and cheers go to:

Charlie Conners, a graduate of the University of Dayton and currently a student at Forest Park Community College
