The Other Big Bud News Here’s some good news, Bud fans: Budweiser American Ale will hit the streets in mid-September. The amber ale, which Anheuser-Busch has been working on for more than 18 months, is made with all-American ingredients and dry-hopped with Cascade hops from the Pacific Northwest. Budweiser American Ale (hmm, it needs a nickname, don’t you think?) is a little darker, hoppier and has a little more alcohol than Bud lager. But it’s still clean and refreshing.
