July 23rd, 2008 edition of The Daily Sauce: Food and Wine. Visit Our Food and Wine Archive. Discover Hahn Wines Next Week You’ll have two opportunities next week to discover the fine wines from Hahn Estates, produced in California’s central coast Monterey County, including some lovely just-released reserve varietals. On Monday, Hahn winemaker Adam LaZarre will be at Revival’s Barbecue wine dinner, where he and Brian Duncan from Chicago’s BIN 36 restaurant will expose us to the perfect vinos to match chef Cary McDowell’s perfect barbecue. We already know Hahn’s Syrah is a natural with ribs, so we can’t wait to see how the new 2006 vintage from the just released “SLH” Santa Lucia Highlands Reserve line tastes. Three days later, on Thursday, LaZarre will uncork more Syrah, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir at Soulard’s Restaurant’s wine dinner to raise funds for the A L S Association of St. Louis. Enjoy a five-course meal, each paired with a Hahn wine, knowing you’re helping beat Lou Gehrig’s disease.
