Green Glass

The next time you throw an empty wine bottle in your recycling bin, be gentle. After all, you might meet again.

Green Glass, available at Home Eco in south St. Louis, turns recycled wine bottles and beer bottles into beautiful, fully-functional glassware. The store has already had to reorder a line of juice glasses made from recycled Mexican Sol beer bottles. Other items include goblets, wine tumblers, and a tall, elegant stemmed glass that’s perfect for Champagne or a refreshing glass of pilsner.

Green Glass is made in Wisconsin, but its glassware gets around. According to the company’s web site, it’s already graced the tables of “King Carlos of Spain, a former Mayor of New York City, movie sets and celebrity dinners.” Hey, if you can’t live like a king, you might as well drink like one.
